YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps, appeared before the Assam Police in Guwahati on Friday, March 7. He was questioned about the controversial remarks he made on Samay Raina’s YouTube show, India’s Got Latent.
Allahbadia’s comments, which were about parents and sex, caused massive outrage. The episode was later deleted, but the controversy had already spread. Several police departments, including the Maharashtra Cyber Police, Mumbai Police, and Guwahati Police, are investigating the matter.
Apology and Legal Action
Allahbadia is facing multiple FIRs for his remarks. In his statement to the Maharashtra Cyber Police, he admitted that he made a mistake. He, along with Apoorva Mukhija, also submitted written apologies to the National Commission for Women (NCW).

NCW chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar stated that four people—Tushar Poojari, Saurabh Bothra, Apoorva Mukhija, and Ranveer Allahbadia—appeared before the panel. She emphasized that inappropriate language will not be tolerated. The individuals expressed regret and submitted formal apologies.
Supreme Court Grants Interim Protection
Earlier this week, the Supreme Court granted Allahbadia interim protection from arrest. The court allowed him to resume his podcast, The Ranveer Show, under the condition that it maintains standards of morality and decency.
A bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh noted that around 280 employees depend on the show for their livelihood. The court ruled that as long as Allahbadia follows the required ethical standards, he may continue broadcasting his content.
