Actor Kangana Ranaut recently shared her thoughts on making peace with filmmaker Karan Johar and singer Diljit Dosanjh. When asked if she was ready to “smoke the peace pipe” with them, Kangana said she has no hard feelings toward either of them. However, she clarified that she doesn’t feel the need to become their friends.
Kangana’s Take on Peace
In an interview with The New Indian, Kangana said, “I’m at peace with them. I have nothing against them. When I see good work from them, like Shershaah by Karan Johar or something by Diljit, I appreciate it. But do I need to make them my friends or hang out with them? No, I don’t think that’s necessary.”
The Feud With Diljit Dosanjh
Kangana’s disagreement with Diljit started in 2020 during the farmers’ protests. She accused him of supporting the protests and later claimed he had disappeared from the scene. Diljit, however, defended his stance on social media and supported the protesting farmers, leading to a series of heated arguments between the two on Twitter (now X).
The Fight With Karan Johar
Kangana’s clash with Karan began in 2017 during her appearance on Koffee with Karan. In the show’s Rapid Fire segment, Kangana called Karan the “flag-bearer of nepotism,” which shocked him. Over the years, Kangana has often criticized Karan on social media for promoting nepotism in Bollywood.
Karan, on the other hand, defended himself by highlighting the new directors launched by his production company. He also stated that his decision not to work with Kangana was out of personal choice, not because she is an outsider.
What Kangana Recently Said About Karan
On a recent episode of Indian Idol 15, Kangana was asked if she would act in a film produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Kangana responded, “Karan sir should do a movie with me. I’ll give him a good role and make a proper film. It won’t be about gossip or just a PR exercise. It will be a proper film, and he’ll have a proper role.”
While Kangana seems ready to let go of past grudges, she remains clear about keeping her relationships professional and distant.
