Mumbai: Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is speaking out — and she’s not holding back. In a recent interview with Times Now, the actress criticized the growing paparazzi culture, calling it “bizarre” and “invasive,” especially when it crosses personal boundaries.

“You can’t even go to a funeral without being clicked. I found it very bizarre,” Sonakshi said.
She added that social media and paparazzi culture have taken things too far, often making it hard for celebrities to live a normal life.

“Look at what social media has become. Look at what the pap culture has become,” she said.
“Beyond a point, you have to start ignoring these things and just live the way you want to live. But it did take a bit to get used to.”

Sonakshi joins the list of Bollywood stars like Alia Bhatt, Kajol, and others who have also raised concerns about disrespectful media behavior and loss of privacy.

Sonakshi on Body Shaming: “I Had No Role Model Growing Up”

Apart from paparazzi, Sonakshi also spoke about the body shaming she faced during her career.

“It’s a vicious circle. I think I became that person. Because while growing up, I didn’t have any role model to look up to or somebody who tells me that it’s okay to be how you are,” she shared.

The actress said she made a conscious effort to promote a healthy and realistic body image throughout her career.

“I wanted to be somebody who projected a very healthy body image, and I have done so in my entire career — realistic,” Sonakshi added.

What’s Next for Sonakshi?

Sonakshi will soon be seen in her brother Kussh S Sinha’s directorial debut, Nikita Roy, a supernatural thriller. The film also stars Paresh Rawal, Arjun Rampal, and Suhail Nayyar in major roles.

Originally set to release on June 27, the film’s release has now been postponed to July 18. The producers shared a statement explaining the change:

“We found ourselves in the midst of multiple releases and a battle for screens. With advice from our well-wishers, distributors, and exhibitors, we decided to push the release so we can reach a wider audience.”

They ended the note with a promise:

“18th July will be worth the wait.”

With her powerful voice on social issues and her upcoming thriller, Sonakshi Sinha is proving she’s not just a star — she’s a force to be reckoned with.
