Bollywood star Kajol is known for her honesty, charm, and strong opinions. In a recent interview, she opened up about growing older, how she sees herself, and her thoughts on cosmetic surgery — all while promoting her upcoming film Maa.
“Ageing Is No Big Deal”
At 50, Kajol is not worried about ageing. In an interview with Filmfare, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai star said, “It’s not a big deal. Age is just a reminder to check if you’re going in the right direction in life. And I’ve been moving in the correct direction.”
She believes that knowing your path in life is more important than worrying about how you look as you get older.
Her Take on Cosmetic Surgery
Kajol also spoke about cosmetic surgery. She called it a “dicey topic,” meaning it can be complicated. She said that sometimes surgery is necessary — for example, for people who have suffered burns or acid attacks.
But when it comes to changing features like cheekbones just to look better, she believes people should think twice. “It’s a personal choice,” she said, “but one should be sure whether it’s really necessary to change that part of the body. If yes, then go for it.”
Kajol’s New Film Maa
Kajol is currently promoting her new film Maa, a mythological horror movie. The film is directed by Vishal Furia and produced by her husband Ajay Devgn along with Jyoti Subbarayan.
The trailer, released recently, shows Kajol playing a fierce mother who will do anything to protect her daughter from evil forces. The movie also stars Indraneil Sengupta, Ronit Roy, Jitin Gulati, and Kherin Sharma.
Maa will hit theatres on June 27 and is already getting praise for its gripping story and spooky scenes.
Kajol continues to inspire fans not just with her acting, but with her bold, real talk about life and beauty. Whether it’s ageing gracefully or standing strong in the face of fear — onscreen or off — Kajol proves she’s a star with both heart and strength.
