Pakistani actors Hania Aamir and Mahira Khan are facing strong backlash from Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) on social media. The criticism came after both actors spoke against India’s Operation Sindoor, which was a military strike in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.

What Was Operation Sindoor?

On April 22, a terror attack in Pahalgam, South Kashmir, killed 26 innocent people, most of them tourists. The attackers reportedly asked the victims their religion before shooting them. In response, on May 7, the Indian armed forces carried out targeted airstrikes on nine terrorist hideoutsfour in Pakistan and five in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The mission was called Operation Sindoor and has been widely praised in India and by global observers as a strong step against terrorism.

What Did Hania Aamir and Mahira Khan Say?

While their social media posts are now blocked in India (after the Indian government restricted Pakistani celebrity accounts), screenshots of their comments have been circulated by NRI users on platforms like Twitter.

In their posts, both actresses criticized the Indian military action, with one calling it “cowardly.” This sparked outrage among Indian supporters, especially those living abroad.

NRI Reactions: Brutal Trolls and Angry Tweets

Many NRI social media users slammed the Pakistani stars, accusing them of hypocrisy and double standards.

One tweet read:

“I’d like Mahira Khan to answer this since she spoke against Operation Sindoor. Where was she when terrorists killed our people just because they weren’t Muslim? Where was her outrage when 26 of our people died?”

Another user wrote:

“Wow, Hania Aamir and her low IQ fan brigade really thought they could waltz into Bollywood while their country harbors terrorists? Operation Sindoor just gave them a reality check—India isn’t your playground, darling!”

A more blunt tweet said:

“Hania Aamir is calling the Indian Army coward. If anyone is still simping over her in India, I don’t know what to say.”

Calls for a Ban on Pakistani Celebrities

Several users also supported the Indian government’s decision to ban Pakistani celebrities from working in India after the attack. They argued that Pakistani artists should not be allowed on Indian screens if they can’t condemn terrorism but are quick to criticize India’s defense actions.

Other Pakistani Celebrities Also React

Apart from Hania and Mahira, other Pakistani actors like Fawad Khan and Mawra Hocane have also reportedly reacted to Operation Sindoor, although details of their posts are still being discussed.

Final Note

The emotions are high on both sides, but what’s clear is this: NRIs and many Indians are not staying silent in the face of criticism of India’s actions against terrorism. As one tweet summed it up:

“Stay in your lane or get ready for more Sindoor on your terror camps.”
