Vicky Kaushal’s latest film Chhaava has become a massive hit. The historical drama, released last month, has crossed ₹500 crore at the Indian box office. Starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna, the film is still doing well in its fourth week in theatres.

Fans have loved Vicky’s intense performance as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the brave Maratha ruler. Recently, Vicky shared a behind-the-scenes (BTS) clip on Instagram, showing the hard work that went into filming the climax sequence.

Vicky Shares BTS Clip from Chhaava

In the BTS video, Vicky explained how much effort was needed to shoot the final scenes. The climax shows Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj fighting alone against an army before he is captured. Vicky mentioned that the sequence was shot over several days, starting in the morning and continuing throughout the day.

The video also revealed the use of full-body makeup and prosthetics for certain scenes. Crew members can be seen assisting with the detailed preparations. The clip ends with a crew member thanking Vicky for perfectly bringing the team’s vision to life.

Sharing the clip, Vicky wrote in the caption, “#Chhaava- The last stand! #bts.” Actor Vineet Kumar Singh reacted to the post with red heart emojis.

Fans flooded the comments with appreciation for Vicky and the entire team. One fan wrote, “Ye movie nahi, emotion hai” (This is not just a movie, it’s an emotion). Another commented, “More than a movie… Chhaava took us back to those glorious days.”

About the Film

Chhaava is based on the Marathi novel by Shivaji Sawant. Rashmika Mandanna plays Maharani Yesubai, while Akshaye Khanna portrays Aurangzeb. The film also features Ashutosh Rana as Sarsenapati Hambirao Mohite and Divya Dutta as Soyarabai.

The film’s music is composed by A. R. Rahman, with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. With its powerful performances and grand visuals, Chhaava continues to win hearts across the country.
