The film has created a lot of buzz, especially because Salman Khan will make a cameo appearance. Varun spoke about working with Salman Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and other key members of the team.
Salman Khan’s Fun Reaction
During the event, Varun recalled an interesting moment with Salman Khan. Salman, who has been a mentor and guide to Varun in his early years in the film industry, made a playful comment while working on Baby John. Varun remembered, “He just said, ‘Baby John, bada ho gaya hai baby’. I don’t know if that was a compliment.” This lighthearted remark shows the friendly bond between the two actors.
A Big Release on Christmas
Baby John is set to release on Christmas, and Varun is excited about the timing. He explained that releasing a film during this period is special, as Aamir Khan had often chosen Christmas for his movie releases. Varun said, “A strong backing is very much needed for Baby John. In today’s environment, if you have to bring a film, you need strong production support. Otherwise, it gets very difficult to release a film.” He also shared that no major Hindi film had been released in theatres for over 50 days, making the release of Baby John even more significant.
Varun expressed his desire to have one of his films released on Christmas and mentioned that the team had to “fight and struggle” to get this date. He also thanked Aamir Khan for setting a tradition of releasing films during this time.
Working with Diljit Dosanjh
Varun also spoke about his experience working with Diljit Dosanjh, the famous singer and actor, in Baby John. Diljit plays a key role in a special song in the film, and the two actors share great chemistry. Varun said, “It was great working with Diljit paaji. The whole country loves him a lot. He is entertaining us through his tours, and he was a dream to work with. He is in a spiritual place. We had a great time.”
Varun also revealed that he and Diljit are working together again in No Entry 2, alongside Arjun Kapoor. The trio is excited to bring their energy to the big screen once more.
