Badshah recently shared an interesting story about how AR Rahman apologized for his initial comments on the remix of “Humma Humma” from the 2017 film OK Jaanu. In an interview, Badshah revealed that Rahman, who was initially critical of the remix, later came to appreciate the track and even admitted he was wrong.

Badshah had remixed Rahman’s iconic song “Humma Humma” for the movie OK Jaanu. When the remix was first released, it received a lot of criticism. Many fans and music lovers didn’t like the new version, and Rahman himself was not happy with it either. Badshah, however, had a clear vision for the remix. He wanted to give the classic song a modern twist, while still keeping its original charm.

Despite his efforts, the remix faced a lot of backlash. Badshah remembered that Rahman was especially upset at first. But later, during an event, Rahman called Badshah and apologized for his initial reaction. He said, “I am sorry. It took me time to realize it’s a good song. I was just unhappy because of… there were some things.”

For Badshah, this apology and acknowledgment from Rahman were a huge moment of validation. He said it was something he didn’t expect, but it meant a lot to him.

Badshah’s journey with the “Humma Humma” remix shows how sometimes creative efforts don’t always get immediate approval, but can eventually be appreciated. It also highlights the respect and understanding between two talented artists like Badshah and AR Rahman.
