Sara Ali Khan recently opened up about her journey in the film industry, revealing how she faced both challenges and triumphs. Known for her roles in films like Kedarnath and Simmba, Sara candidly discussed her experiences, including the setbacks she encountered.

Reflecting on the reception of her third film, Love Aaj Kal, which received criticism for her performance, Sara admitted that it was a difficult period for her. In an interview with Mid-Day, she acknowledged her initial struggle to come to terms with the criticism. “I take full responsibility for the fact that I didn’t deliver,” Sara expressed, reflecting on her role in the movie.

Despite this setback, Sara found renewed confidence through subsequent projects. She highlighted the positive response to films like Atrangi Re (2021) and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke (2023), expressing gratitude for the audience’s acceptance.

Interestingly, Sara revealed a moment of self-doubt during the early stages of Atrangi Re. She confessed to approaching director Aanand L Rai, suggesting Alia Bhatt for the role instead. “I called Aanand L. Rai and told him, ‘Atrangi Re is a great script. This character is outstanding. Are you sure you don’t want to call Alia Bhatt?’” Sara shared, explaining her apprehension at the time.

However, taking on the role ultimately became a turning point for Sara. It allowed her to regain her footing and bounce back stronger. “I was nervous, but doing the role helped me pick myself up,” Sara remarked, emphasizing the role’s positive impact on her career.
